Jim Rhoades: Drums
Playing clarinet since 4th grade and drums since 10th, Jim started playing the button box in 1987. Original member of the White Valley Button Box Club, Jim has filled in for various bands in the area.
Rick Adamic: Button Box, Chromatic Accordion
Rick pickup his dads Mikus button box at 10 and is known through-out the area for his own unique style and talent. It comes to him naturally, his dad was also known as one of the best button box musicians around.
Little know fact: Rick at the age of 17 appeared on the Frank Yankovic television show in Cleveland. Rick has played with various bands in the area and is one of the original members of the band.
Andy Reck: Button Box
You could never tell that Andy did not start playing the button box until he was 47. His natural ability and instinct on the button box makes him a perfect addition to any band. But, put him with Rick Adamic and the sound is a perfect blend of drive and excitement. Andy is one of the original members of the band.
Ron Takacs: Bass guitar
Ron hasn’t always played bass guitar. At age 9 he started playing the piano accordion and, over the years, has played a wide variety of music. In 1995 he purchased a used bass guitar and learned to play by jamming with friends and other accomplished musicians. In the year 2000 he joined our group and completed the Jim Rhoades sound. Ron’s musical talent has continued to show throughout his transition from accordion to bass guitar.
Jerry Lubinski: Banjo, Guitar
Jerry is well known in the polka field as a well-versed banjo/guitar/bass guitar musician. Jerry played for many years with a variety of top bands.
Jerry’s natural ability to play a variety of music and sense of timing makes him a valuable asset to any band.
